WhatsApp Brazil, a part of Meta, is seeking a senior Product Designer to shape the next generation of messaging experiences. You will work across product thinking, interaction design and visual design to deliver high-quality craft and impact.

Responsibilities include solving deep problems with minimal guidance, mentoring designers, and coordinating with cross-functional executives to align strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing complex software products with strong UX, UI, and business objective focus.
• 8+ years of strategic product thinking; set goals, identify global opportunities, measure impact.
• Experience presenting work to senior leaders, clearly articulating goals and concepts.
• Experience guiding cross-functional executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading design strategy for large-scale consumer products.
• Experience showcasing end-to-end design across multiple projects with iterations and high-fidelity prototypes.

In Brazil, it is also where a great deal of everyday life gets done — people message businesses, coordinate their families, and increasingly send money as easily as they send a message. We are building a new team to take WhatsApp further in that direction. The newly established WhatsApp Services team is focused on making WhatsApp more useful for more of what people already use it for, and on building what comes next. As a product designer at Meta, you'll have the opportunity to play a central role in the way we build technologies — ensuring they are valuable, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution. You'll be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. We'll expect you to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills, while contributing to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive partners.

Product Designer — WhatsApp Brazil Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years designing complex software products with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectives
• 8+ years of strategic product thinking with experience developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company
• Experience representing work to senior executives, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with cross-functional executive stakeholders
• Experience leading design strategy for large-scale consumer products
• Experience showcasing your end to end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, high-fidelity prototypes, and consideration of the impact and scale of work
• Experience connecting your work with other industry-leading related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
