DNV in Brazil invites a proactive Chemical Engineering student to join the Risk Management South America team as an intern. You will help deliver safety analyses, contribute to CFD studies, and support safety improvement projects under guidance from senior colleagues.

The role requires fluency in English and Portuguese, with Spanish being a plus, and a strong inclination toward digital tools like Power BI, VBA or Python. An on-site Brazil-based placement is offered.

Qualificações

• Currently pursuing Chemical Engineering with graduation expected around Dec 2028.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish knowledge is a plus.
• Proactive, team oriented and digitally inclined.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office and basic data tools is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Support on technical report analyses (HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, Human factors, CFD, etc.).
• Assist on safety improvement projects and documentation.
• Contribute to CFD studies development and data gathering.
• Support explosion and fire calculation tasks as needed.
• Engage in administrative tasks and project communications.
• Promote a digitalization mindset within the team.

About The Role

Risk Management unit South America is seeking a proactive intern to join a fast-paced technical safety consultancy at the cutting edge of risk analysis techniques. This a great opportunity to be part of a motivated team that is a trusted voice to tackle global transformations and challenges, helping our customers in achieving the safety of their assets and operations.

The Risk Management team in Brazil provide a wide range of advisory safety engineering and risk management services to the energy industry, for CAPEX and OPEX projects, in Brazil and other South American countries.

The Process safety Intern reports to a Team Lead and has responsibility of supporting with technical delivery of projects under the guidance of more senior members of the team.

Energy Systems Is Searching For a Intern To The Risk Management South America Team, To Perform With The Main Tasks As Below

• Support on technical report analyses (HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, Human factors, gas dispersion, fluid dynamics analysis,...)
• Support on safety improvements projects
• Support on development of CFD studies
• Support on explosion/fire calculation
• Knowledge on Process Safety discipline - very desirable
• Support on technical/administrative tasks, such as technical reports, presentation, statement capability and others
• Digitalization mindset

• Studying Chemical Engineering - graduation predicted to December 2028 onwards
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
• Advanced in Spanish (desired)
• Solid knowledge in office package (word, excel, powerpoint)
