Team Description

Sabre Corporation launched Sabre Virtual Payments, an innovative payments hub designed to maximize value from every transaction + a team of Travel & Payment experts that will help any travel agency with their end-to-end payment strategy. It allows our clients to pay anyone, anywhere through a network of over 70 issuers around the world and integrates seamlessly into their current workflows with the goal of changing how travel payments is today to the benefit more our customers.

Role and Responsibilities

As the Commercial Director, LATAM - Sabre Direct Pay, you will have the opportunity to work with the biggest and most important travel agencies around in the region offering them one of the best payment solutions in the travel industry and make them feel that travel payments are easy, seamless, efficient and beneficial.

What will you achieve?
  1. Grow our business in the region.
  2. Build and maintain a pipeline of leads that fit in with the strategy of Sabre Virtual Payments, moving prospects through the sales channel to a "live" status as quickly as possible.
  3. Manage the full sales lifecycle (Early engagement, spend growth, Loyalty programs, and retention activities), ensuring revenue, and growth on new customer acquisitions.
  4. Partner with the Sabre Virtual Payments team including working with customer success, implementations, partnerships, business finance and product. Also work with the wider Sabre Global Distribution System sales teams and account managers on existing clients.
  5. Deliver strong performance results in line with agreed revenue and spend targets, and overall SVP strategy.
  6. Provide management with clarity as to the performance and results arising from your activities.
  7. Ensure all activity is captured in the chosen SVP CRM tool.
  8. Ensure quality and timeliness of business development activities including internal activity reporting, external presentation, contractual commitments, and key client success criteria.
  9. Provide feedback and insight into Sabre Virtual Payments; identify existing competitors and provide insight into their competitive position within the marketplaces we operate.
  10. Represent Sabre Virtual Payments at industry trade events.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
  • Spanish is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the Travel Industry and the GDSs dynamics.
  • Knowledge on Payments, focus on virtual card usage.
  • New Sales experience with a strong demonstrable record of achievement blended with account management skills.
  • Polished sales, contractual, negotiation skills and closing ability.
  • Exceptional communication & presentation capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior team members and customers - including at C Level.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing several competing tasks.
  • Must be willing to travel at short notice globally, to attend client visits and represent Sabre Virtual Payments at industry trade events.
  • Expertise with Online, Leisure and Business travel agencies is valued.
  • Nice to have: Competent CRM experience - including the use of Excel, Salesforce and others.
