Caylent is an AI-first cloud services company hiring a senior Data Engineer in Brazil. The role focuses on shaping strategic data roadmaps for clients and serving as a data engineering SME across engagements.

You will collaborate with pre-sales, conduct technical interviews for architects and engineers, and help define data standards and procedures to drive scalable analytics in a remote, global team.

Formación

• At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape.
• 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems.
• Experience with relational database design, optimization and migration, data modeling for transactional and analytics systems, BI dashboards, and data governance.
• Experience with Spark, streaming solutions, and NoSQL; ML and MLOps with SageMaker.
• GenAI foundations with Bedrock proficiency.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines; Python for analytics and automation.

Responsabilidades

• Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for clients in a consultative capacity.
• Act as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements with pre-sales teams.
• Perform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates and provide guidance to architects/engineers.

Your Assignment

• Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for our clients in a consultative capacity
• Act as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements working with our pre-sales teams
• Perform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates as well as provide technical guidance to Architects and Engineers
• Oversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape
• 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems as well as experience in these areas:

• Traditional Data (At least 2):
• Relational database design, optimization and migration
• Data modeling for both transactional and analytics systems including implementation of industry standard data models
• BI dashboards and visualizations
• Data Governance and MDM

• New Data (at least 2):
• Big data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQL
• Machine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in Sagemaker
• GenAI Foundational Models as well as approaches and frameworks used in conjunction with them with proficiency in Bedrock.

• Experience with at least two of these:
• Infrastructure as Code tools
• CI/CD pipelines and tools
• Python for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.) and automation

• Strong drive towards standardizing and documenting our approach and solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
