We are a growing freight brokerage and transportation company specializing in time-sensitive, temperature-controlled, and high-touch shipments across the U.S. We work with shippers in industries such as medical, artwork, hazmat, and white-glove services, and we pride ourselves on being responsive, reliable, and solutions-oriented.
We’re looking for a Pricing Specialist to own our day-to-day quoting and pricing strategy, helping us win profitable freight while maintaining strong carrier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Spot & Contract Pricing
- Prepare spot quotes for truckload, LTL, reefer, flatbed, and specialty shipments in a fast-paced environment.
- Analyze customer RFQs / RFPs and build competitive, profitable pricing proposals.
- Maintain and update pricing matrices, lane guides, and rate tables.
Market & Lane Analysis
- Monitor daily market conditions (capacity, seasonality, fuel, regional trends) and adjust pricing accordingly.
- Analyze historical data by lane, customer, and mode to set target margins and identify opportunities.
- Recommend pricing strategies for new lanes, customers, and verticals.
Collaboration with Sales & Operations
- Partner with the sales team to support new business opportunities and respond quickly to customer quote requests.
- Work closely with carrier procurement / operations to understand true cost on lanes, including repositioning, deadhead, and accessorial.
- Provide clear pricing logic and talking points so the sales team can confidently present rates to customers.
Margin & Performance Management
- Track win rates, margins, and quote response times, and suggest improvements based on data.
- Flag unprofitable lanes and customers and propose revised pricing or alternative solutions.
- Build and maintain dashboards or reports for leadership (e.g., by lane, mode, customer).
- Tools & Process Improvement
- Use TMS, load boards, and market data tools to benchmark rates and build accurate quotes.
- Help refine internal pricing workflows, templates, and SLAs to speed up response times and improve accuracy.
Requirements
Experience
- 2–5+ years of pricing, carrier procurement, or operations experience in a freight brokerage or 3PL environment.
- Strong understanding of truckload and / or LTL pricing, including fuel, accessorial, detention, and layover.
Skills
- Strong English communication skills (writing and speaking) are required. Day-to-day work and communication with our team and customers is in English.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables, basic modeling).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear pricing recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High sense of urgency and ability to handle a high volume of quote requests with tight deadlines.
Other
- Must be based in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, or Mexico (or nearby LATAM country with similar time zone).
- Comfortable working remotely and independently, with accountability for results.
- Able to work on Eastern Time hours.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with major TMS platforms and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop, etc.).
- Prior exposure to temperature-controlled, white glove, hazmat, or airport / air freight-related freight.
- Experience responding to large RFPs or managing contract bids for enterprise customers.
