I'm partnering with a leading consultancy delivering a large-scale Cloud, DevOps & Data transformation for a major global organisation in the aviation sector.

We are looking for a Platform Engineer with a strong software development background to support the next phase of the programme. This initiative focuses on building a high-availability, globally distributed platform, modernising infrastructure, improving automation, and raising operational reliability standards across mission-critical aviation systems.

Skills & Responsibilities

Strong software engineering background with current hands-on focus in DevOps / Platform Engineering roles.

Design, build and maintain CI / CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins and SonarQube, ensuring high code quality, security and automation standards.

Implement and optimise end-to-end delivery pipelines, including build, test, security scanning and deployment automation.

Hands-on experience working with AI tooling (e.g. AI-assisted development, automation, testing, monitoring or platform optimisation).

Take ownership of workstreams, break down requirements into deliverable tasks, and operate independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to improve developer experience, automation, reliability and deployment efficiency.

Proactively identify bottlenecks in build, release and operational processes and drive continuous improvement.

Support the delivery of a high-availability, globally distributed aviation platform through robust DevOps practices.
