Qualificações

The Payroll Specialist II will perform all duties of Payroll Specialist and other duties including balancing and controlling earnings and deduction totals, calculating and preparing general ledger entries, preparing accounting transactions and documents, inspecting automated system output reports, gathering payroll data for inclusion in financial statements and researching and preparing special reports for management.

Essential
Responsibilities
  • Processes and performs payroll record entries including tax status, garnishments, support orders, banking information, etc. (25%)
  • Prepares and posts journal entries and monthly reconciliations (20%)
  • Verifies, researches and accurately processes bi-weekly payroll through importing data between systems (e.g. Kronos, SmartBen and / or ADP) (10%)
  • Checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance within established standards (5%)
  • Enter accurate banking account information and W4 data (5%)
  • Assists with internal and external audits (e.g. EY) (5%)
  • Produce and distribute management reports (5%)
  • Trouble shoot issues with the Accounting department regarding payroll or the general ledger (5%)
  • Assists with internal and external audits (e.g. EY) (5%)

  • Provides backup for Accounting Operations department (5%)
  • Process off-cycle payrolls as necessary for payroll corrections or adjustments; complete on-demand checks including final pay; ensure final pay complies with Company and State requirements (5%)

Experience

5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's Degree with Accounting, Finance Field of Study preferred.

Associate Degree with Accounting, Finance and / or Equivalent Work Experience field of study required.

Other Education / Certifications

FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certificate) designation preferred
