Payroll Business Partner Coordinator

Function: HR

Location: WT Torre B, São Paulo-SP e/ou Valinhos/SP

Terms & Conditions: Full-time, hybrid model (two or three times in-person at the office)

JOB PURPOSE

Payroll business partner role is a strategic role responsible for aligning payroll operations with a company's overall business objectives. Unlike a traditional payroll coordinator who focuses purely on administration, a payroll business partner works closely with leadership to provide expert advice, optimize processes, and influence strategy using payroll data to add value to the business.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
  • Payroll operations: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of both regular and ad-hoc payroll runs, payroll accounting and time and attendance process.
  • Compliance and reporting: Ensure payroll processes and administration comply with all relevant laws and statutory requirements.
  • Process improvement: Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and technology to increase efficiency.
  • Data analysis: Develop and provide management information, including trend analysis, to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Stakeholder and payroll vendors management: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team leadership: Mentor and guide payroll team members, identifying and facilitating their learning and development.
  • Manage compliance and audit controls, stay updated on and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, some E-social expertise level and CNDs issuing support to internal departments.
  • Lead small and medium size projects and stakeholder and vendors management, familiarity on low complexity business case will be a differential.
  • KPIs and SLAs management
  • Experience handling global sophisticated companies and high volume.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, human resources, or a related field is typically required. Some MBA or equivalent is often preferred.
  • Experience: Candidates need proven experience in payroll management, with a strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
  • Technical expertise: Good proficiency with payroll software and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) is expected. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is often necessary for analysis and reporting. SAP HCM background and Time and Attendance concepts expertise will be beneficial.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical for effective collaboration with senior leadership, employees, and other departments. The ability to influence and build strong relationships is essential.
  • Strategic thinking: A successful candidate must possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to align payroll strategies with business objectives.
  • Leadership and adaptability: The ability to work autonomously, manage complex issues, and adapt to a fast-changing business environment is key.
  • Good English communication is desirable.
