Navvik is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our Offshore Operations team in Rio de Janeiro. You will be a key link between vessels, clients, and shore-based teams, coordinating day-to-day operations, vessel readiness, mobilizations, and special operations while prioritizing safety, reliability, and service quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of offshore maritime experience.
  • Degree in Nautical Sciences, Marine Engineering, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
  • Solid knowledge of offshore support vessel operations (PSV/RSV/AHTS).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent Portuguese and good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel and support operations outside regular hours when required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor operational and contractual performance, addressing issues to minimize disruptions and penalties.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate vessel requirements and corrective actions with relevant departments; escalate significant risks when needed.

Job description

We are looking for anOperations Coordinator to join our Operations team and support the safe,efficient, and reliable operation of our offshore support vessels.
In this role, you will be akey link between our vessels, clients, and shore-based teams, coordinatingday-to-day operations, supporting vessel requirements, monitoring contractualperformance, and ensuring operational matters are addressed effectively and ontime.
You will work closely withMasters, clients, and internal departments to support vessel readiness,mobilizations, special operations, port calls, and overall service delivery,while maintaining a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, regulatorycompliance, and operational excellence.We are looking for someonewith solid experience in the offshore maritime industry, preferably withexposure to PSV, RSV and/or AHTS operations, who combines operational knowledgewith strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

In addition, this positionwill be responsible for:
  • Monitor operational andcontractual performance, proactively addressing issues and minimizingdisruptions, deductions, and penalties.

  • Follow up on operationalfindings, vessel requirements, and corrective actions, coordinating withrelevant departments and escalating significant risks when required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the offshore maritimeindustry.
  • Degree in Nautical Sciences, Marine Engineering, Engineering, Logistics,Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of offshore support vessel operations, preferablyinvolving PSV, RSV and/or AHTS vessels.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with clients, vessel crews, andmultidisciplinary shore-based teams.
  • Fluent Portuguese and good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Availability to travel and support vessel operations outside regularbusiness hours when operationally required.
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered anadvantage and may help you succeed in this role:
  • Familiarity with DP operations, OCIMF/OVID requirements, and offshoreindustry standards.
  • Knowledge of the Brazilian offshore regulatory environment, includingBrazilian Navy and local content requirements.
  • Experience with vessel management and ERP systems, such as UniSea andIFS.
  • Experience supporting vessel mobilizations, special operations,inspections, and operational readiness.
