Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to design, configure, and maintain firewall ecosystems (Palo Alto, FortiGate) and manage F5 load balancers. The role focuses on policy enforcement, threat mitigation, and cloud security integration across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on firewall expertise, strong networking knowledge, incident response skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic security posture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on firewall configuration experience with Palo Alto and FortiGate.
• Proficient in core networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSL/TLS, BGP, OSPF.
• Experience configuring and managing F5 LTM/GTM.
• Knowledge of Cisco ISE and policy integration.
• Security incident response and continuous monitoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls.
• Manage and optimize F5 load balancers for availability and security.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and threat mitigation.
• Integrate and manage Cisco ISE for access control.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineerwith deep expertise in firewall configuration, security policy management, and network protection. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experiencewith Palo Altoand FortiGatefirewallsand F5 load balancers, with additional capabilities in Cisco ISEand Cloud securityenvironments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain Palo Altoand FortiGatefirewalls, ensuring optimal performance and robust security posture.
• Manage and optimize F5 load balancersfor high availability and secure application delivery.
• Implement and enforce network security policies, intrusion prevention, and threat mitigation strategies.
• Integrate and maintain Cisco ISEfor network access control and identity-based policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Cloud securitydeployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Conduct security assessments, firewall rule audits, and vulnerability remediation.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents, escalating to vendors when required.
• Document configurations, standard operating procedures, and network diagrams.
• Participate in on-call rotations for security-related incidents.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on expertisein Palo Alto (PanOS) and FortiGate firewall configuration, troubleshooting, and policy management.
• Proficiencyin network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSL/TLS, BGP, OSPF.
• Experiencewith F5 LTM/GTM configuration and management.
• Working knowledgeof Cisco ISE policy configuration and integration.
• Incident responseand security monitoring skills.
• Solid understanding of network segmentation, Zero Trust architecture, and access control models.

Added Advantages

• Cloud security experience(AWS Security Groups, Azure NSG, GCP Firewall rules).
• Scripting/automation skills in Python, Bash, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools(Splunk, QRadar, or equivalent).
• Industry certifications such as PCNSE, NSE4, F5-CTS, CCNP Security, or AWS/Azure Security Specialty.
