Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to deliver market-aware, site-aware and service-aware network services across a global enterprise environment. You will act as the day-to-day link between site stakeholders, managed service providers (MSPs), Field Services, OEMs and platform teams—turning local demand into actionable requirements and coordinating delivery from readiness through implementation and operational handover.

This is a delivery-focused role combining strong Cisco and Aruba networking expertise with coordination, documentation, risk management and stakeholder communication.

What you'll do
  • Build working knowledge of assigned markets and sites, including constraints, prerequisites, operational rhythms and local dependencies.
  • Gather, clarify and qualify demand for Edge IT Platform and network services, translating it into actionable requirements and dependency maps.
  • Support alignment to standard Edge and network service-catalogue solutions, flagging non-standard requests for Client or platform review.
  • Coordinate deployment activity across MSPs, Field Services, OEMs, site contacts and platform teams.
  • Confirm site readiness, including access, facilities, prerequisites, dependencies and implementation windows.
  • Support delivery under the agreed RACI, ensuring execution quality and adherence to approved standards.
  • Validate installed solutions and complete structured handover to run and support teams, including runbooks, configuration evidence and monitoring confirmation.
  • Support hardware lifecycle activity: replacement, refresh, tagging, inventory, CMDB updates and EOL/EOS exception management.
  • Provide hardware consumption, forecast and ordering inputs, without direct budget ownership.
  • Monitor operational signs of contract, licence or service-agreement deviation and escalation to the appropriate Client owners.
  • Identify operational risks, compliance gaps and legacy issues, coordinating remediation under Client governance.
  • Support disaster recovery and failover preparation, including participation in DRP testing and evidence capture.
  • Capture field insights, lessons learned and improvement opportunities to strengthen future delivery.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with market representatives, site contacts, MSPs, Field Services, OEMs and platform teams.
Technical skills we’re looking for
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise LAN and WLAN technologies, including Cisco-centric switching and routing, wireless implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Cisco DNA Center, Cisco ISE, Cisco Prime and Aruba platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Aruba ClearPass NAC, Aruba wireless mobility deployment and migration, Aruba switching and Aruba OS-CX core-to-access switching concepts.
  • Sound knowledge of WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN and cloud networking in global enterprise environments, including implementation, operational support and issue resolution.
  • Practical experience resolving IS/IT connectivity issues through coordination with third-party suppliers, MSPs, OEMs and local site teams.
  • Working knowledge of Edge IT Platform service catalogues, lifecycle processes, solution standards and deployment patterns.
  • Experience operating in an ITIL-based, globally managed service environment, including incident, change, escalation and major-incident coordination.
  • Understanding of asset lifecycle management, CMDB discipline, inventory accuracy and evidence-based delivery.
  • Awareness of cloud architecture, DevOps, distributed computing, microservices, security-first principles and user-experience concepts.
  • Sound knowledge of Unified Communications and collaboration, including Microsoft 365, Enterprise Voice, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, enterprise video and hybrid-event platforms.
  • Desirable: project management, service integration, change coordination and adaptability across product and service-management activities.
Experience and qualifications
  • Proven experience coordinating infrastructure deployment, field implementation or IT platform service delivery.
  • Prior experience working with MSPs, external vendors, Field Services or OEMs on deployment, hardware fulfilment or issue resolution.
  • Strong documentation discipline across demand packs, readiness checklists, evidence packs, runbooks, handover documents and reporting.
  • Ability to work with Client-designated ITSM, CMDB, reporting and collaboration tools; specific tools will be confirmed for the engagement.
  • Strong communication skills across technical and management stakeholders, including market representatives, site contacts, MSPs and platform teams.
  • Security and compliance awareness is required; background checks and security training may apply depending on the engagement.
  • Site induction and safety training must be completed where applicable before site access.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNP, CWNP, ACNT or equivalent Cisco/Aruba/networking credentials.
  • Preferred: ITIL Foundation or equivalent, ITSM tool training, and cloud/network/infrastructure fundamentals.
