What we're looking for

We are looking for a Market Reporter to join our Editorial Team to cover the Brazilian Biofuels Market and report on deals, price movements and market news.

What is involved

This is a unique opportunity to learn about and cover motor fuels markets and become an expert on diesel, gasoline, biofuels and feedstocks markets movements.

There are growing opportunities to expand and improve Argus coverage of these markets.

As a result, the associate editor role is one that will require an interest in economics, logistics and commodities trading as well as a willingness to learn and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining rapport with key contacts and liaising regularly with industry stakeholders (buyers, sellers, traders, distributors) to gain market intelligence.
  • Assessing commodity prices based on collected data, adhering to rigorous compliance standards.
  • Synthesizing complex information quickly.
  • Writing market commentary, analysis pieces and news stories adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Maintaining existing databases and building new databases for designated product.
  • Developing new contacts and relationships within marketplace.
  • Translating English stories and market commentary to Portuguese.

  • Written and Spoken proficiency in both English and Portuguese
