Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Middle Data Engineer to join a remote team building scalable, cloud-native data platforms and distributed processing systems. You will contribute to ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and cloud architectures using Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS.

You will work on ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, data modeling, and platform optimization while collaborating with analysts and engineers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Hands‑on experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Experience working with Snowflake.
• Understanding of data warehousing and modern data platform concepts.
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and software engineering best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
