Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Automotive Engineer to drive global development of heavy-vehicle chassis, from concept through production. You will design 3D/2D drawings, work with structural analysis, and coordinate with suppliers and production for ongoing improvements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Mechatronics, 3+ years in automotive product development, and proficiency in CATIA V5, NX or Creo. Travel readiness is expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in automotive product development, focusing on structures and heavy-vehicle chassis (trucks and buses).
• Experience in global product development.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5, Siemens NX or Creo.
• Knowledge of stamping, casting, cutting, bending, and laser processing.

Responsabilidades

Responsibilities

• Work on the global development of Scania bus chassis, from pre-development through product introduction on the assembly line
• Conduct studies, develop concepts, perform calculations, research, and carry out technical and economic analyses, considering all stages of product development and the company's principles
• Discuss technical solutions with requesting departments and prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Design and create 3D and 2D drawings of structures and assembly configurations
• Partner with the structural analysis team to model and propose solutions
• Work with Purchasing, suppliers, and Production on product development and continuous improvement
• Maintain daily contact with headquarters and participate in technical meetings and discussions
• Define requirements for prototypes, certifications, and functional and performance tests, as well as request and monitor the execution of these tests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Mechatronics Engineering
• At least 3 years of proven experience in automotive product development, with a focus on structures and heavy-vehicle chassis (trucks and buses)
• Proven experience in global product development
• Strong knowledge of product development and component design using CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX and/or Creo
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, casting, cutting, bending, and laser processing
• Advanced English; fluency is a plus
• Knowledge and experience applying GD&T
• Knowledge of structural pre-analysis tools such as SimSolid, Inspire, or CATIA GPS & GAS is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Willingness and availability to travel
