Do you have a high level of expertise in paid media in an agency setting? Are you a master of tracking, analyzing, and reporting, and managing insertion orders (IOs) and paid media accounts? We're seeking an experienced and hands-on marketing account manager and strategist who knows how to communicate with vendors and appropriate internal team members.

Only apply if you are experienced. This is NOT a junior or learning role. You should already know what you are doing and be fully autonomous bring solutions for various types of marketing account management. This is a hands-on execution role for someone who moves quickly, thinks strategically, and adapts to shifting priorities with ease.

Must work normal work hours with ET time zone.

Responsibilities

In this opportunity as Marketing Account Manager, you will be:

  • Manage the strategic, day-to-day marketing needs for our agency in coordination with vendors
  • Reviewing, analyzing and reporting the status of 11+ marketing accounts for our internally owned brands with 10+ vendors
  • At 9AM ET daily report to CEO and team about lead flow from vendors, open rates, opt-ins, opt-outs, etc
  • After being clear on goals from CEO and on knowing the terms of the IO's with vendors, taking the initiative to drive forward the IO's to fulfillment and advise team on which brands need additional media
  • Participate in the communication and set up of new vendor accounts as we continue to grow and test new media sources. You will project manage the set up including coordination with copy (if it's easy copy, you should be able to provide yourself), sending to compliance, request design of ads or landing pages when appropriate, coordinate with CTO for placement of pixels and integration with reporting systems including crm and custom dashboards
  • Manage the relationship with multiple vendor accounts, including hosting weekly meetings with them to ensure we continue a mutually beneficial relationship.
Lead Quality Oversight & Escalation
  • Own lead quality monitoring across all vendors and paid media channels, ensuring leads meet agreed-upon quality standards and campaign expectations
  • Continuously review lead behavior and quality signals, including engagement, conversion integrity, opt-out rates, and downstream performance
  • Identify and flag lead quality issues early, including low-intent traffic, compliance concerns, or deviations from IO terms
  • Escalate lead quality issues directly to the CTO and/or CEO, and proactively communicate with vendors to address, fix, and clean traffic sources
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to implement corrective actions, optimizations, or traffic suppression when lead quality does not meet standards
  • Ensure ongoing accountability by documenting issues, resolutions, and improvements in reporting and vendor communications
Skills:
  • Copywriting: Impeccable grammar, proofreading and copyediting skills, Copywriting and creative storytelling for ads and short vendor copy.
  • Forward Looking: You will anticipate risks, uncover growth opportunities, design optimization strategies, influence internal roadmaps, and elevate best practices across the team
  • Strategic Account Ownership: Own, optimize, and expand a portfolio of vendor/affiliate accounts by managing daily partner needs, driving long-term growth strategies, and proactively identifying new placements, integrations, and opportunities
  • Campaign Execution & Daily Management: Execute all campaign operations, including pacing, budgets, QA, creative testing, launches, and troubleshooting with 100% accuracy while using advanced judgment to prioritize issues and maintain performance stability
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze performance data across CTR, CPC, CPA, and ROAS to diagnose trends, forecast impact, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations that improve yield and partner outcomes
  • Revenue & Margin Growth: Drive revenue and margin expansion by scaling high-performing partners, upselling new opportunities, optimizing traffic quality, and influencing internal teams to unlock additional growth levers
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear, organized documentation and produce structured reporting that communicates insights, decisions, risks, and next steps to internal teams and external partners
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with media buying, analytics, creative, and product to resolve blockers, shape testing roadmaps, refine processes, and elevate partner performance through cross-team alignment
  • High-Trust Partner Communication: Lead recurring partner communications that build trust, address issues quickly, and deliver strategic insights that strengthen alignment and long-term retention
Qualifications

You’re a fit for the role ofMarketing Account Manager role if you have:

  • Communication: Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization (internal and vendor-facing)
  • Project/client management skills: Managing timelines, prioritization of tasks, quality control
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years working directly with Publishers, Affiliates, and/or Advertisers in digital media, performance marketing, or lead generation, with ownership of partner relationships, revenue performance, and reporting
  • Industry-Grounded Strategist: Leverages strong experience in publisher, affiliate, and advertiser ecosystems to anticipate shifts, navigate constraints, and identify high-impact opportunities
  • Relationship & Influence Leader: Builds trust across partners and internal teams; influences without authority; balances partner needs with company's goals
  • Advanced Data Literacy: Uses Looker, Excel, and performance dashboards to run analyses, forecast outcomes, design tests, and translate insights into action
  • Operationally Excellent: Manages multiple accounts, priorities, and workflows with accuracy and process discipline at expectations
  • Collaborative & Cross-Functional: Works fluidly with media buyers, analytics, creative, and engineering partners; communicates directly with clarity and respect
  • Entrepreneurial Problem Solver: Acts with ownership, experiments thoughtfully, and drives long-term revenue growth through both systematic and creative approaches

  • Excellent Communicator - Verbal and written, with advanced proofreading and strong grammar/spelling skills.
