Primary Purpose of this Position

Responsible for managing a regional team of direct report supervisors and external warehouse operations. This critical role will be accountable to implement needed change across our warehouse network to improve customer experience, drive cost savings, reduce quality issues, and lead their direct reports along with cross functional teams to solve complex logistics problems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a regional team of warehouse supervisors and their operational teams.
  • Promote a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments including Logistics, Planning, Sourcing, and Quality.
  • Define and manage the regional distribution model, standardizing best practices across warehouse operations.
  • Lead network optimization, consolidation, and cost reduction projects.
  • Oversee relationships and performance of 3PLs and external warehouses, leading onboardings when necessary.
  • Review 3PL invoices (COUPA) and manage POs for external warehouses.
  • Support efficient inbound and outbound shipments of all materials.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of shipping documents and warehouse-related contracts.
  • Lead issue resolution and warehouse improvement projects.
  • Manage customer complaints and quality issues via RCCA.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to address complex supply chain challenges.
Inventory & Performance Management
  • Ensure inventory accuracy for finished goods, raw materials, dunnage, and packaging.
  • Monitor inventory aging, HFI status, and key performance metrics.
  • Manage operational budgets and drive efficiency across sites.
What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of experience in logistics, warehouse, plant supply chain, or regional supply chain
  • Minimum of experience leading people, direct leadership experience preferred; indirect considered
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations and analyze and interpret data to make recommendations.
  • Leading people, providing mentorship, development, clear goals and driving performance and accountability
  • Minimum of Advanced Level of English
Desirable Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Ball's internal manufacturing and logistics systems and procedures, business practices, customer and manufacturing needs and expectations.
  • Proficient with IT systems and solutions such as: ERPs (i.e. Oracle, JDE) and productivity software (i.e. Excel, Word, and Power Point).
