AWS Brazil seeks a Manager, Brazil Public Policy, to guide government relations and policy initiatives for AWS infrastructure. You will engage federal, state and local policymakers and stakeholders, shaping policy positions and advocating for AWS projects across Brazil.

You will travel to infrastructure locations in Brazil and internationally as needed, coordinating with legal, tax, and real estate teams to ensure policy alignment and successful operations.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development)
  • 10+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent experience
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English

Responsabilidades

  • Develop deep relationships with federal, state and particularly local government leaders where AWS has infrastructure expansion and operations, lead and implement public affairs and policy strategies for the AWS infrastructure business
  • Assess and communicate potential regulatory and policy threats, develop mitigation strategies and policy positions, and coordinate external advocacy and outreach programs and key initiatives
  • Provide government relations and public affairs support for the AWS infrastructure team to ensure smooth operations
  • Seamlessly collaborate with internal customers including business development, real estate, legal, tax, economic development, and PR teams, among others
  • Effectively communicate the scope and benefits of AWS investments to external stakeholders at all levels and across disciplines
  • Proven experience with sustainability, trade and tax related issues is required

In this role you will help engage key policymakers, regulators and external stakeholders on issues that are critical for AWS’ Infrastructure operations in Brazil. You will need deep understanding of Brazil local governments, the state and federal policy landscape, and have experience working extensively with external policy stakeholders. You will work in the field with local, state, and federal government departments and agencies. You must be available to travel to infrastructure locations in Brazil, as well as some international travel.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish
  • Master's degree or above in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development)
  • Experience working with Brazilian federal, state, and municipal government agencies on infrastructure, technology, or data center-related policy matters
  • Strong track record of building and managing coalitions with industry associations, think tanks, or advocacy organizations in Latin America
