In this role, you will lead and oversee complex mainframe projects with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that integrate seamlessly with business processes. You will manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and risk assessment to execution and process optimization. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, collaborate with global stakeholders, and drive meaningful improvements in technical operations. You will lead teams of technical professionals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and efficiency. Your expertise in mainframe technologies and project management will be critical in enabling smooth transitions and achieving measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, set timelines, and allocate resources effectively to achieve project objectives
  • Leverage deep knowledge of Broadcom and IBM Mainframe technologies, including zOS, AS400, JCL, COBOL, REXX, and SAS
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, and stakeholders across the organization
  • Conduct risk assessments, define mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to ensure project continuity
  • Oversee project execution, monitor progress, manage budgets, and optimize costs while maintaining quality standards
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and providing clear guidance on goals and priorities
  • Implement change management strategies, drive process improvements, and ensure smooth transitions during mainframe migrations
  • Manage vendor relationships, track deliverables, and coordinate seamless collaboration with external partners
Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in mainframe operating systems such as zOS and AS400
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL, COBOL, JCL, REXX, and SAS
  • Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership
  • Expertise in risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Experience implementing change management initiatives and driving process improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Optional: Experience with mainframe database management (DB2, IMS, Oracle, MySQL)
