RINA is recruiting a Latin America Marine Project Manager to join its Rio de Janeiro office within the Americas Marine Engineering Division. This role combines project management with hands-on engineering to deliver medium-complexity marine projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering, with strong ability to manage client relationships, budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering.
  • Experience in project management and engineering roles.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
  • Awareness of HSEQ principles in marine consulting.

Responsabilidades

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, cost plans, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor progress, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
  • Manage risks, issues, and corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare accurate technical reports and ensure invoices are issued promptly.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate insights to management.

RINA is currently recruiting for a Latin America Marine Project Manager to join its office in Rio de Janeiro within the Americas Marine Engineering Division.

Location: Rio de Janeiro, BR, 20011-904. Contract Type: Permanent. Level of experience: Intermediate.

Mission

The Project Manager – Marine business unit is a fully functioning and self‑sufficient professional responsible for managing and executing projects with moderate complexity within the Marine business unit. This role involves both project management and hands‑on technical contributions, where the Project Manager leverages their engineering expertise to develop specific project deliverables. They ensure projects meet business objectives through effective planning, execution, and delivery, adhering to RINA's quality standards. #LI-KM

Key Accountabilities
  • Project Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
    • Develop and manage project schedules, cost plans, and resource allocations to align with business objectives and project deliverables.
    • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to approved budgets, schedules, and RINA quality requirements.
    • Manage risks, issues, and corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Coordinate stakeholder communication and provide regular updates to management.
    • Maintain and manage project documentation from initiation to completion following established processes.
  • Technical Contributions:
    • Actively contribute as an engineer to project development, utilizing technical expertise to deliver specific tasks and solutions.
    • Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex problems and ensure high‑quality outcomes.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to address challenges and achieve project objectives.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare accurate and timely technical reports related to the project.
    • Ensure invoices are prepared according to contractual terms and issued promptly to clients.
    • Maintain time charge records, expense reports, and approvals in compliance with company procedures.
  • Collaboration and Growth:
    • Work positively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Stay informed about technical, business, and management developments relevant to clients and communicate insights to senior management.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering

Qualifications
  • Good experience in project management and engineering roles, with demonstrated technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in applying engineering principles to solve problems and develop project deliverables.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical areas relevant to marine consulting.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Office, MS Project).
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed technical decisions.
  • Strong team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across diverse groups.
  • Awareness and ability to apply RINA’s Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System principles.
