A leading technology company is seeking a Key Account Manager in São Paulo, Brazil. The role requires approximately 50% travel to meet client needs.

What you'll do
PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Key Account Manager must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to business and technical users.

The Key Account Manager is the primary technical resource for the field sales force, being responsible for actively leading and managing the assessment stage of the sales process, working closely with the Biding and Demand Generation teams as the primary technical advisor and product advocate for our products.

Must be able to identify all technical issues for assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction at every stage of the sales process.

Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Must be the main contact for customer, acting as the bridge communication with the internal operations teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations;
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc;
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs / RFPs;
  • Visiting customers to fulfill the Profit Plan, respecting the expenses budget;
  • Always respecting Eaton values and working as ethical bases;
  • Establishing new, and maintaining existing, long‑term relationships with customers;
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements;
  • Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs;
  • Responsible for fulfilling the Eaton CRM with all information regarding customer contacts, opportunities, volume, etc.;
  • Preparing reports for head office;
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events;
  • Providing pre‑sales technical assistance and product education;
  • Contributing with EHS metrics that were established for the area / function / factory in accordance with the deployment realized;
  • Ensuring compliance with EHS and quality policy in accordance with training and communication transmitted for the function.
Qualifications

Education and skills required to meet position qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of our product basket and services;
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organisation with a rapidly expanding customer base;
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills;
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Self‑motivated with a proven track record in utility‑segment sales and knowledge of technology;
  • Organised and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches;
  • Preferable degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical Automation;
  • English is desirable;
  • Experience in technical sales;
  • Availability to travel (50% of time).
