Jobtailor in Joinville, Brazil seeks a QA/Test Engineer to drive web and API testing across releases. You will create and execute automated and manual tests, maintain data sets, and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance while expanding Cypress and Postman test suites.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, clear writing of reproduction steps, and collaboration in Agile ceremonies. Experience with LIMS/ERP is a plus.

Qualificações

Experience in web test automation with Cypress, Playwright, Selenium or similar tools.
Ability to write and validate API tests using Postman or similar tools.
Basic SQL to validate data in MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.
Experience with Git, GitHub, and pull requests.
Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing tools.
Technical English for reading documentation and errors.

Responsabilidades

Execute manual and exploratory testing cycles for each release covering critical workflows.
Log defects with steps, evidence, and severity and track through verification.
Write and maintain test cases with preconditions, steps and expected results.
Prepare and maintain test data sets in staging environments.
Archive evidence for ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
Expand Cypress regression suite under tech lead review.
Execute and maintain API test collections in Postman.
Monitor the test suite in CI/CD, report failures, identify flaky tests.
Participate in story refinement and Agile ceremonies, documenting edge cases.
Gain autonomy to run test cycles for each release and maintain Cypress suite within 90 days.

Execute manual and exploratory testing cycles for each release, covering critical LIMS workflows
Log defects with reproduction steps, evidence, and a proposed severity level, following tickets through verification of the fix
Write and maintain test cases with preconditions, steps, and expected results
Prepare and maintain test data sets in staging environments
Archive execution evidence for traceability and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025
Expand and maintain the Cypress regression suite under the tech lead’s review
Execute and maintain API test collections in Postman
Monitor the test suite in the pipeline, report failures, and identify flaky tests
Participate in story refinement, challenging acceptance criteria and identifying edge cases
Participate in Agile ceremonies and keep test documentation up to date
Gain the autonomy to execute the test cycle for each release and maintain the Cypress suite within 90 days

Requirements

Web test automation: experience writing or modifying tests in Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or a similar tool
API testing: execute and validate requests in Postman or a similar tool
Basic SQL: write simple queries to validate data in MySQL or PostgreSQL databases
Git and GitHub: clone repositories, create branches, commit changes, and open pull requests
Jira or a similar tool: log and track tickets
Technical English for reading documentation and error messages
Testing mindset: break workflows down into scenarios and identify edge cases
Clear technical writing for documenting reproduction steps and expected and actual results
Attention to detail
Persistence in reproducing intermittent issues
Willingness to ask questions rather than make assumptions
Nice to have: PHPUnit; experience with LIMS, ERP, or multi-tenant SaaS; CI/CD; Docker; laboratory environments or ISO/IEC 17025; Scrum/Kanban; ISTQB CTFL certification or ongoing preparation
Ongoing or completed education in a technology-related field is a plus
