CI&T is seeking a curious Junior Data Engineer to join the data team and start delivering impactful data solutions for global clients. You will assist in designing and maintaining data pipelines, improving data quality, and supporting integrations across analytics platforms.

• Foundational knowledge of data concepts (ETL, data warehousing, data modeling).
• Basic programming experience in Python or similar.

• Exposure to modern data stack tools (Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow).
• Willingness to work in an international, collaborative environment.
• Proactive attitude and strong desire to learn.

The Junior Data Engineer will support the design and maintenance of data pipelines and assist in delivering data solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for candidates who have foundational knowledge in data and software engineering and are eager to develop their skills in a modern data stack.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Support: Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes under the supervision of senior and mid-level engineers
• Data Architecture Assistance: Support the implementation of data infrastructure components such as data lakes and warehouses as directed
• Data Quality: Help apply data quality checks and participate in monitoring data consistency and reliability
• Integration Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of integrations between data sources and analytics platforms
• Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support the delivery of technical solutions
• Documentation: Help maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation for pipelines and processes
• Learning & Growth: Actively participate in code reviews, team rituals, and learning opportunities to build engineering skills
• Powered by AI: Be open to leveraging AI tools and automation to support data engineering tasks and workflows

Requirements

• Basic familiarity with at least one major Cloud Platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Exposure to or coursework involving data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar)
• Good level of English — B2 or above
• Proficiency with SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (Python preferred)
• Foundational understanding of data concepts (ETL, data warehousing, data modeling)
• Willingness to work in an international, collaborative environment
• Proactive attitude and strong desire to learn

• Academic or personal projects involving data pipelines or analytics
• Exposure to modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, etc.)
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices
• Spanish communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Any cloud or data-related certification or online course completion
