EPAM Systems is seeking a Java/Node.js Development Team Lead with SAP proficiency to guide a skilled team in delivering SAP-enabled applications. The role involves technical leadership, code reviews, and collaborating with customers to define scalable solutions in a hybrid Montenegro setup with offices in Herceg-Novi and Podgorica.

The ideal candidate brings strong Java 8, REST/JAX-RS, Spring Boot and microservices experience, plus exposure to SAP BTP and SAP CAP.

Qualificações

• Proficient in Java 8 with strong RESTful API design.
• Experience with microservices and Spring ecosystem.
• Familiar with SAP BTP and SAP CAP concepts is a plus.
• Ability to work in Agile teams and communicate in English (B2+).

Responsabilidades

• Lead development activities for Java/Node.js projects and ensure code quality.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical solutions and milestones.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and monitor applications.
• Prepare technical and user documentation for releases.
• Help shape development processes and architectural decisions.
• Coordinate with SAP-related teams when integrating BTP or CAP services.

We are seeking a talented Java/Node.js Development Team Lead with proficiency in SAP.

Become a part of EPAM and contribute to developing and supporting applications within the SAP Business Technology Platform. Your role will also involve providing technical leadership to the team.

This position offers hybrid setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Montenegro, whether it's your home or our dynamic offices in Herceg-Novi and Podgorica.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features based on best software development practices, ensuring clean code and clean design
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues and resolve bugs
• Write technical and user documentation
• Cooperate with the team, track its performance and needs
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics, provide required metrics to management
• Participate in the setup, improvement and implementation of development processes
• Provide design and architectural decisions

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Java 8
• RESTful architecture expertise, including JAX-RS (Jersey, Apache CXF)
• Flexibility to use JPA (EclipseLink) and Spring Boot, covering MVC, Data, Security and WebFlux
• Proficiency in design principles and competency in microservice architecture
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Basic understanding of JavaScript and Node.js
• Work experience or theoretical knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), HANA database and SAP CAP (Java, Node.js)
• English language level – B2 and higher
