Main Duties
General Safety
- Wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, slip-resistant shoes).
- Use "Wet Floor" and "Closed for Cleaning" signs.
- Never mix chemicals; make sure all bottles are labeled.
- Keep areas ventilated when using strong cleaners.
Daily Cleaning Tasks
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Disinfect high-touch areas (handles, switches, tables, handrails, dispensers).
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors.
- Wipe down surfaces in breakrooms and common areas.
- Quick toilet and restroom touch-ups (seat, handle, surfaces).
- Spot-clean spills immediately.
Restroom & Toilet Cleaning
- Clean and disinfect toilets (inside and out).
- Wipe sinks, counters, faucets, and partitions.
- Restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Mop and disinfect floors around fixtures.
Shower & Wet Area Cleaning
- Remove hair and debris from drains.
- Clean tile and walls to remove soap scum, body oils, and mildew.
- Remove mineral build-up when needed.
- Disinfect benches, grab bars, partitions, and dispensers.
- Squeegee and dry all surfaces.
Breakroom Cleaning
- Clean tables, chairs, counters, sinks, and appliance exteriors.
- Wipe inside microwaves and remove old food.
- Clean fridge handles and shelving (as needed).
- Sweep and mop floors; empty trash.
Locker Room Cleaning
- Empty trash and towel bins.
- Wipe down lockers, benches, and handles (including D-Lead cleaner if required).
- Clean mirrors and counters.
- Mop and disinfect floors.
Floor Care
- Sweep/vacuum debris.
- Mop with neutral cleaner.
- Weekly deep-scrub with deck brush (grout, corners, edges).
- Squeegee or dry mop floors to prevent slips.
Trash Removal
- Remove trash bags safely and replace liners.
- Clean and disinfect bins weekly.
- Take trash to the dumpster and close lids.
- Sanitize hands after removing gloves.
Expectations
- Follow cleaning steps and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
- Communicate supply needs or damaged equipment.
- Ensure all areas are clean, dry, and safe for employees.
