What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee complex software, hardware, and networking projects, ensuring alignment with approved business cases
- Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets, ensuring adherence to project management best practices
- Communicate with stakeholders and project teams, providing regular updates and resolving issues as they arise
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate with vendors and city departments to ensure project success
- Archive project documentation and validate end-user acceptance of solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a directly related field
- Five years of professional information technology experience relevant to the position
- Experience in project management, including budget management and vendor coordination
- Proven ability to prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and presentations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Three years of project management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and Excel
- Additional relevant IT certifications
- Experience with procurement processes
