Job summary

Apex Group seeks a Junior or Mid-Level Investment Management Analyst to join our Brazil team in São Paulo. You will support day-to-day management of funds with focus on FIDCs, FIIs, and FIFs, working with Portfolio Managers to monitor performance, cash flows, and compliance.

The role covers the full investment lifecycle from deal origination to post-investment monitoring, development of monitoring tools, and preparation of reports. Hybrid work: four days in office, one day remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, risk management, or investment operations within finance.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Practical knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio management activities with PMs focusing on FIDCs, FIIs, and FIFs, monitoring performance and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in the investment lifecycle from deal origination to post-investment monitoring.
• Develop and enhance portfolio monitoring tools and tracking of key metrics like delinquency and credit recovery.
• Assist in preparing executive presentations, management reports, and investment memoranda.
• Identify optimization opportunities to maximize returns and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate Investment Committee and Credit Committee meetings and prepare materials.
• Execute investment orders and monitor cash positions and liquidity.

Investment Fund Analyst Location São Paulo, Brazil Working model: Hybrid, with four days per week in the office and one day working remotely.

Description

We are seeking a Junior or Mid-Level Investment Management Analyst with a strong technical background in credit and/or real estate asset management to join the Apex Group Investment Management team in Brazil.

The professional will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of investment funds, with a primary focus on FIDCs (Receivables Investment Funds), FIIs (Real Estate Investment Funds), and FIFs (Financial Investment Funds).

• Support portfolio management activities in partnership with Portfolio Managers, with a primary focus on FIDCs, Private Credit Fixed Income Funds, and Real Estate Investment Funds (FIIs), ensuring ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance, cash flows, regulatory compliance, and adherence to investment guidelines.
• Participate throughout the entire investment lifecycle, from deal origination and structuring to post-investment monitoring and performance evaluation.
• Develop and enhance portfolio monitoring tools, tracking key metrics such as delinquency levels, credit recovery performance, and portfolio quality, while recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of investment processes, risk management frameworks, internal controls, and operational procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of executive presentations, management reports, investment memoranda, and decision-support materials.
• Identify portfolio optimization opportunities, propose strategies to maximize returns, mitigate risks, and create value for investors and portfolio companies.
• Support the organization and coordination of Investment Committee meetings, Credit Committee meetings, and portfolio review discussions, including the preparation of supporting materials and meeting minutes.
• Execute investment orders and transactions for managed funds, while monitoring cash positions and liquidity projections across investment vehicles.

Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, risk management, compliance, or investment operations within an asset manager, fund administrator, bank, or financial institution.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken (highly desirable).
• Practical knowledge of Python and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and process automation.
