Cadence Design Systems in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, is seeking an Intern: Software Engineering: Hardware Verification R&D to join the Fault Emulation team. You will contribute to the emulation platform, implement features, and collaborate with global teams.

Ongoing bachelor’s in CS or CE with expected graduation in 2028, strong English/Portuguese, and willingness to work in Savassi, Belo Horizonte. The internship involves 20 hours/week and in-person work.

Qualificações

• Ongoing bachelor’s in computer science or computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Expected graduation in January/2028 or July/2028
• Availability to work in person: Savassi, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
• Good spoken and written English and Portuguese.
• Software Development using version control systems.
• Fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Contact with EDA and VLSI design, including Verilog and VHDL languages.
• Contact/projects with C++.
• Interest in learning a scripting language - either Tcl or Python.

Responsabilidades

• Support the team on the development of new features requested by customers or Product Engineering team, including the functional specification, code development, unit tests, regression tests, static analysis, performance evaluation, code reviews.
• Support the team in the maintenance on the existent features, including bug fixes, refactoring, performance improvement.
• Participate in the interaction with Application Engineering team to provide support for the deployment of the features on customer side.
• Participate in the interaction with Product Engineering and Product Validation teams to specify and test the features.

As an Intern: Software Engineering: Hardware Verification R&D, you will be part of Fault Emulation team in the HSV group in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. On the Fault Emulation team, we develop Functional Safety solutions for the emulation environment. The Fault Emulation team works with Palladium, the industry leading Emulation platform based on our proprietary hardware.

Job Description
