What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Achieve sales goals by developing and executing strategic business plans for the ophthalmology market
- Collaborate with portfolio representatives to identify synergistic opportunities and enhance customer engagement
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers in ophthalmology
- Communicate complex disease-state and therapeutic information effectively to healthcare professionals
- Present professional sales presentations at conferences and engage in discussions to promote product initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in ophthalmology
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate's degree with 7+ years, or 10+ years of proven pharmaceutical experience in ophthalmology is acceptable
- Current knowledge of the territory and customer landscape is required
- Experience selling biologics or specialty pharmaceuticals to ophthalmologists or retina specialists is highly preferred
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license and ability to travel locally up to 40%
