Opened in 2008, Four Seasons Hotel Macao has become a coveted destination for both business and leisure travelers who seek exceptional and personalized services. Its numerous awards and satisfied customers attest to its excellence. In October 2020, Four Seasons Hotel Macao introduced The Grand Suites, an all-suite tower that took the concept of luxury and bespoke services to new heights. With the addition of 289 suites, the Hotel's room count increased to a combined total of 649 keys, making it the largest property within the Four Seasons group. About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Macao is looking for a Hotel Manager. Candidates with a passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations, and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with Four Seasons. As a member of the Planning Committee, the Hotel Manager works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience. The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing the Hotel's overall operations.

What you will do
  • Provide leadership and management for all operational hotel personnel: directly for two key management personnel and indirectly for management and non-management personnel. Accept responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of the hotel guests and employees. Be accountable for all personnel actions, assets, and personal property and the results of their use. Represent the Hotel to civic, business, industry, and local government.
  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the Hotel. Attend and participate in all Planning Committee meetings and events. Meet regularly with all managers, supervisors, and non-management employees, and conduct tours of the Hotel, making recommendations for changes, noting deficiencies, and ensuring corrective action is taken.
  • Monitor and review the daily revenue report, the daily labor report, and the monthly profit and loss statement, analyze results, and take action when necessary. Able to control all capital expenditures and ensure the proper guidelines are adhered to and projects are completed on a timely basis.
  • Conduct weekly Operations meetings to discuss operational challenges and opportunities, and to improve or maintain an excellent communication flow—control expenses by actively participating in all areas of hotel operations.
  • Develop profit improvement ideas, policies, and procedures, and implement them with the General Manager's approval.
  • Respond appropriately to any hotel emergency or safety situation, and comply with all local codes and ordinances, with a focus on guest and employee safety.
  • Implement action plans to correct problems identified in Operations Standards Surveys.
  • Ensure facility is well maintained from both housekeeping and engineering standpoints. Actively participate in all appropriate operations committees, such as the Energy Conservation Program, Safety Committees, and Recycling.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs, including the "Perfect Room" initiative.
  • Assist in ensuring that all areas of the Hotel are appropriately staffed to handle demand periods, and that staff are well-trained, polite, and professionally conduct themselves.
  • Monitor all hotel standards to ensure they are in place and enforced.
  • Conduct and or participate in the performance review of operation Planning Committee members and the development of any manager assigned as a mentee.
  • Meet regularly with the Director of People & Culture to review staffing requests, morale, disciplinary situations, and hotel employees.
  • Assume the authority of the General Manager in their absence. Assume the role of Hotel Spokesperson in the absence of the General Manager in any emergency or crisis.
  • Coordinate preparation to ensure timely, accurate forecasts with Commercial, Food and Beverage, and Rooms and Engineering.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the General Manager or Four Seasons Home Office.
  • Attend functions, social and/or business, to help build rapport and establish credibility within the local community.
  • Maintain a solid working relationship with the Hotel Owners and participate in Owners' meetings.
  • Personally meet and interact with guests, review all written guest comments, and follow up on any guest service issues or needs.
What you bring
  • At least 4 years of experience in hotel operations or management within a multicultural setting. At least 2 years of experience leading and managing large teams. Familiarity with local hospitality regulations, safety standards, and health codes.
  • Preferably a degree holder in Hospitality Management, Business, or its equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English.
  • Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and team management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire team members.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, possess problem-solving abilities, and have financial acumen.
  • Commitment to employee training, learning, and development, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
