Raicom is seeking a remote ecommerce designer to join a two-person pod with a frontend developer. You will design product imagery, marketing emails, and web pages for multiple Shopify brands, ensuring brand consistency and fast iterations.
You’ll collaborate with our CTO and executives, work autonomously, and leverage AI design tools while maintaining a sales-driven design approach. Fully remote, with US Eastern hours overlap.
Pay: Starting at $2,500/month + project-based bonuses
Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates in South America. Must overlap with US Eastern working hours (roughly 9am–5pm ET), with some flexibility.
Raicom LLC is the company behind a portfolio of high-volume ecommerce consumer brands, shipping roughly 200,000 orders a month to customers across the US. Every one of those customers first meets us through a product image, a landing page, or an email.
We’ve grown fast, and our design capacity hasn’t kept up. We have one excellent designer, and we need another so we can move faster on the things customers actually see.
That’s where you come in.
You’ll be one half of a new two-person pod with a frontend developer. You design it, they build it, and together you’ll ship it fast. You’ll also work as a peer to our current designer, so you’ll need the experience and judgment to produce strong work independently, without needing direction on every decision.
Your work will cover three main areas:
As capacity allows, you’ll also support other projects across the company. You’ll work with our CTO, company executives, and other developers.
Honestly, the ideal person has designed for ecommerce brands where every image and email was measured on sales, can switch between a product shot and a landing page in the same afternoon, and wants a developer partner who’ll ship their designs exactly as intended.
Most ecommerce designers get handed a brand guide and a queue of resize requests. This is a chance to shape what our brands look like and see your work go live in no time. We can’t wait to work with you.
This role probably won’t suit you if you want a detailed brief and signoff on every decision, or if you’d rather design for awards than for sales. You’ll move between product imagery, emails, and web pages in the same week, take direct feedback, and hand your work to developers who will build exactly what you designed, so it has to be buildable. You don’t need to have mastered all areas already, but you do need the range and judgment to learn quickly and work independently.
Shortlisted candidates will complete a paid trial project based on real work you’d do in the role, including an email built on proven conversion principles, a refinement to an existing product page, and an improvement to one of our internal tools. We’re hiring this role alongside the frontend developer you’ll be working with.
