About DolarApp

At DolarApp, we’re building the future of cross-border payments in Latin America. We’re looking for a General Manager of Licensing to lead our regulatory licensing strategy across multiple markets. This role is critical to ensuring sustainable growth, market expansion, and regulatory trust as we scale.

What you’ll be doing

Regulation lies at the heart of financial innovation: every license we secure opens the door to a new market, a new product, and thousands of new customers. As General Manager of Licensing, you will work closely with the C‑Suite to drive some of the most critical initiatives for the company, being the strategic mind and driving force when it comes to licensing:

  • Define our licensing strategy: help define the right approach to new product and market launches, and define the strategy for securing and maintaining licenses worldwide – to step ahead of regulators, not behind.

  • Get licenses & maintain them: prepare M&A analyses and due diligence, as well as regulatory strategic plans and documentation for licenses applications on payments, e‑money, lending, FX, crypto and whatever our growth demands, and will lead all of our licensing obligations, working with data and engineering to prepare analytical reports.

  • Be our regulatory ambassador: Build trusted relationships with regulators. You’ll represent us with clarity and confidence, ensuring our story is consistent across markets.

  • Build a stellar team: you will hire and lead local licenses’ teams – from Compliance Officers to MLROs or CISOs, making sure the people we appoint are the very best and that they deliver the regulators’ expectations.

  • Partner across the business: Work hand‑in‑hand with country heads, global functional leaders, HR, and product teams to make licensing a business enabler, not a blocker.

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in a top tier management consulting firm (BCG, Bain, McKinsey), or in a top tier investment bank (bulge bracket) – ideally with deep experience in fintech, payments, and banking

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to bond with regulators, compliance teams and product managers to achieve the company’s goals

  • Excellent organisation, being able to find information about all areas of the company

  • Resourceful and pragmatic, with maximum attention to detail and due diligence – you know when to push, when to negotiate, and when to escape.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team, driven, relentless and a proven closer - you don’t take no for an answer.

  • Business fluent in English; and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary

  • Sign‑on stock options bonus, so you become part of the success of the company

  • Discretionary performance bonus (stock options)

  • Latest technology to work with

  • Strong team that will help you improve your skills
