About the opportunity

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be an active hands-on contributor as well as an influencer for our technical direction. You will be able to contribute to various initiatives as well as provide feedback through code reviews and pairing. Responsibilities

• Develop using interesting technologies Elixir, Ruby, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Kafka, AWS / Lambda, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB - Have input into design and architectural decisions that will shape the future of our software systems
• Mentor, actively participate in code reviews, and pair up with a team member to work together on features
• Act as a strong partner to product and engineering management

Skills / Experience - Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of web application development experience with a track record of successfully shipping consumer or business facing products
• Experience in writing reliable and maintainable code, reusable components and component libraries that may be used by many other engineers
• Experience with any of Elixir, Erlang, Ruby, Javascript, NextJs, or another programming language
• Passionate about testing practices and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with common programming tools such as IDEs, RESTful APIs, Git repositories, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools
• Familiarity with event based architectures, database fundamentals and GraphQL
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Curiosity about retail / e-commerce, the high-end consignment market, and / or how to create a sustainable, circular economy for luxury goods

Preferred Requirements

Experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS, and React – Experience with GraphQL – Experience building microservices – Experience building eCommerce platforms – Experience working with a CMS, especially Prismic – Any experience with mobile development for iOS and / or Android
