USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCHERS PTE. LTD is seeking a senior frontend engineer with a strong UX focus to ship production-ready web applications. You will work with business users to translate goals into polished interfaces and reusable components.

You will design with accessibility in mind, prototype with Figma, and collaborate across design, product, and backend teams to deliver high-quality experiences, performance, and secure frontends.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, UX engineering, interaction design with hands-on development, or a comparable product-facing role, with evidence of shipping applications in production.

Responsabilidades

• User Discovery & Workflow Design: understand goals, tasks, pain points, and current workflows; translate into personas, journey maps, IA, user flows, and product requirements.
• Prototyping & User Validation: create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes; facilitate usability testing and iterate before/during implementation.
• React Frontend Engineering: build responsive, production-quality web apps using React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS; implement reusable components, state mgmt, validation, tests.
• AI Interaction Design: design interfaces for conversational and AI-enabled experiences, including streaming responses, tool execution, and handling uncertainty.
• Design Systems & Accessibility: apply reusable design patterns and tokens; ensure consistency, accessibility standards.
• Backend & Platform Integration: collaborate with AI/backend engineers on API contracts and integration; lightweight backend when needed.
• Quality, Performance & Security: optimize usability, rendering performance, and reliability; implement tests and secure frontend practices.
• Deployment, Adoption & Handover: own frontend delivery, documentation, onboarding, feedback collection, and knowledge transfer.
• Field-to-Platform Feedback: identify recurring needs and feed into shared components and platform improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• User Discovery & Workflow Design: Work directly with business users to understand goals, tasks, pain points, operating constraints, and current workflows. Translate findings into personas, journey maps, information architecture, user flows, and clear product requirements.
• Prototyping & User Validation: Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma or coded prototypes. Facilitate usability testing, synthesize feedback, and iterate rapidly before and during implementation.
• React Frontend Engineering: Build responsive, maintainable, and production-quality web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Implement reusable components, robust state management, client-side validation, error handling, and automated tests.
• AI Interaction Design: Design interfaces for conversational, generative, and agentic experiences, including streaming responses, tool execution, progress and system status, citations, user confirmation, human review, error recovery, and clear handling of uncertainty.
• Design Systems & Accessibility: Apply and extend reusable design patterns, component libraries, and design tokens. Ensure solutions are consistent, responsive, inclusive, and aligned with applicable accessibility standards.
• Backend & Platform Integration: Collaborate closely with AI and backend engineers to shape API contracts and integrate frontend applications with authentication, databases, enterprise systems, and platform services. Build lightweight backend functionality when required.
• Quality, Performance & Security: Optimize usability, responsiveness, rendering performance, and reliability; implement unit, integration, end-to-end, and accessibility testing; and apply secure frontend practices for sensitive data and regulated environments.
• Deployment, Adoption & Handover: Own frontend delivery through production rollout, documentation, user onboarding, feedback collection, support, and knowledge transfer. Use qualitative and quantitative signals to improve user adoption and task completion.
• Field-to-Platform Feedback: Identify recurring user needs and reusable interface patterns, and feed them back into shared components and improvements to the core platform.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, UX engineering, interaction design with hands-on development, or a comparable product-facing role, with evidence of shipping applications used in production.
• Frontend Engineering: Advanced proficiency in React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript, with strong knowledge of component architecture, state management, responsive design, API integration, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• UI/UX Practice: Strong foundation in user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing, visual hierarchy, and accessible design. Proficiency with Figma or equivalent tools is required.
• Design-to-Code Capability: Demonstrated ability to translate user needs and design concepts into polished, maintainable, production-ready interfaces without relying on a separate handoff for every detail.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work directly with non-technical users, uncover underlying needs, explain design and technical trade-offs, and incorporate feedback constructively.
• Product & Delivery Mindset: Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements, rapidly prototyping, testing with users, and taking ownership from discovery through rollout and continuous improvement.
• Technical Breadth: Working knowledge of backend APIs, authentication, databases, cloud environments, version control, CI/CD, and secure software development sufficient to deliver integrated applications with engineering partners.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points)

• Forward Deployment: Experience in consulting delivery, design engineering, solutions engineering, internal product delivery, or another role involving direct collaboration with users and end-to-end implementation.
• AI Product Experience: Experience designing or building interfaces for chatbots, copilots, agentic workflows, data-rich applications, or other AI-enabled products.
• Design Systems: Experience creating or extending component libraries and design systems, including documentation, accessibility considerations, and visual regression testing.
• Data Visualization: Experience presenting complex operational or analytical information using libraries such as Recharts, D3.js, or Chart.js.
• Regulated Environments: Experience delivering internal enterprise applications subject to stringent security, privacy, accessibility, or applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.
