Job summary

Side is seeking a Firmware QA Engineer in Sao Paulo to develop, document and maintain functional test cases and QA artifacts, including test data, data validations, and automated scripts.

You will execute manual and exploratory tests, report bugs, and perform regression testing after fixes, while collaborating with development and product teams to design effective test strategies. The role requires strong English communication and hands-on testing in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in Quality Assurance.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related is preferable.
• Knowledge of Firmware QA methodologies, tools and processes is a plus but not required.
• Experience writing clear, concise test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.
• Advanced English communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform regression testing after bug fixes.
• Monitor and analyze system logs and traces to investigate issues (e.g., Splunk).

• Monitor debugging process results and stay updated with new testing tools and strategies.

• Execute manual (white-box and black-box) and exploratory tests, ensuring comprehensive functional coverage.
• Identify, thoroughly document, report, and track bugs through resolution.
• Perform thorough regression testing after bug fixes.
• Monitor and analyze system logs, crash logs, and backend traces (e.g., Splunk) to investigate issues.
• Liaise with internal teams to understand system requirements and ensure quality deliverables.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and testing strategies.
