Deel is seeking a Team Lead, Engineering to guide a cross-functional group of 6-10 professionals, balancing leadership with hands-on development. You will design and build scalable applications, mentor engineers, and uphold best practices across the stack.

Responsabilidades

As a Team Lead, Engineering at Deel, you will lead a cross-functional team of 6-10 professionals, with a balance of leadership (50%) and hands-on technical work (50%). Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with product, design, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless alignment on goals.

Push back on product decisions when necessary, presenting well-reasoned arguments to prioritize technical health, scalability, and long-term success.

Must-have (non-negotiable technical bar)

Strong software engineering fundamentals:
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Experience designing maintainable, scalable systems
- Ability to write clean, structured, and testable code
Strong SQL skills:
- Ability to write complex queries from scratch
- Deep understanding of data structures and query performance/impact
Experience working with APIs and distributed systems:
- Debugging integrations and system interactions
- Understanding data flow across services
Strong problem-solving ability:
- Root cause analysis across code, data, and systems
Experience working in production environments:
- Handling incidents, debugging issues, and managing escalations

Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.
Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a consistent global reference. Your offer will be localized to your country's currency using a market-aligned conversion.
Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
We don't ask about salary history. Offers are based on the role and what you bring to it.
