Descrição da oferta de emprego

Infotech® is seeking an Engineering Lead that is passionate about creating and implementing solutions that improve the suite of web applications and services that build our nation’s roads and infrastructure. If you are driving on a highway in North America, there is a good chance that Infotech software was used to build it. 88% of state transportation agencies in the U.S. use Infotech-developed software to manage their road construction projects. How’s that for impact?!

Infotech recently completed its first-ever acquisition, purchasing the Workflow Manager Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) software. The Engineering Lead will work with the existing team to lead efforts expanding the PPM software to connect with Infotech’s other best-in-class applications. We are creating the first ever platform that can manage the entire infrastructure lifecycle from planning through design, bidding, and construction. Exciting to be a part of, right?

The Engineering Lead will balance management responsibilities along with individual contribution assuming any engineering role needed on a squad. As a coding master dedicated to writing clean, test‑driven code, you will be responsible for building our service‑oriented architecture.

What it’s like to be an engineer on our Commercial team

Our vision: As engineers, our vision is to create intuitive software that makes our customers’ jobs easier, more efficient, and less complex. • Informal and relaxed while also being ambitious and technically excellent.
  • Customer centric and solution oriented.
  • Empowering and resourceful.
  • Highly energized, communicative, and supportive.
  • Ever evolving especially through our love of a good tech challenge.
What will you do in this role?
  • Owns the end-to-end development and implementation within the Commercial team, integrations, and internal tooling.
  • Collaborates with architects on architectural guidelines to design and deploy an application, while also implementing architecture that suits Infotech business needs, satisfies user requirements, achieves desired results, conforms to industry best practices, and integrates with end systems.
  • Participates in coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software; consistently writing clean, test‑driven code using established design patterns.
  • Help to build and lead the workflow capability, creating the execution plan and milestones for the team.
  • Manages team, directing roles and responsibilities, fostering teamwork, cross‑team collaboration, and group problem solving.
  • Supports innovation through trend analysis, identifying new opportunities, developing novel ideals and/or participation in idea generation activities to improve our products; it’s okay to make it fun for your teams!
  • Supports talent planning, acquisition, onboarding, coaching, performance accountability, training, and professional development for all direct reports.
  • Restructuring the existing applications to support more flexible deployment scenarios for customers; while also expanding financial reporting and integrating with QuickBooks online.
  • Creating seamless integrations with bidding, inspection, and estimating tools for an all‑in‑one experience.
