Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Layout and Factory Flow Engineer to design and optimize the physical layouts of our Porto Alegre facility, improving material and people flow for safety and productivity.

You will model layouts with AutoCAD and simulation tools, work with production and safety teams, and drive continuous improvement across projects with hands-on site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in industrial engineering with focus on facility layout and material flow.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for factory modelling.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing knowledge and application to layout and flow.
• Knowledge of ergonomics and industrial safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and visualization skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Engenheiro Industrial de Layout e Fluxo de Fábrica to join their operations in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul . This position is vital for designing and optimizing the physical layout of our manufacturing facilities and improving material and people flow to maximize efficiency, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of facility design principles, simulation tools, and ergonomic considerations. You will work closely with production, engineering, and safety teams to create efficient workflows and layouts that support our production goals. This is an on-site role, offering a direct impact on the operational efficiency of our plant located in Porto Alegre .

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize plant layouts to improve material flow, reduce handling distances, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Utilize CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., FlexSim, Arena) to model and analyze factory layouts and material flow.
• Identify opportunities for improving workplace ergonomics and safety in the design of layouts and workstations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to gather requirements and ensure buy-in for proposed layouts.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including layout drawings, material flow diagrams, and process flowcharts.
• Conduct time and motion studies to analyze and improve work methods and production cycles.
• Evaluate existing facilities for potential improvements and recommend modifications to layout and flow.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industrial standards in all layout designs.

Requirements
