Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automated Quality Engineer (Selenium/Cypress) to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the performance, reliability, and quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing frameworks, particularly Selenium and Cypress, and a passion for improving product quality through robust testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using Selenium and Cypress.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to identify test requirements and ensure full test coverage.

• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects in a timely manner.

• Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.

• Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Ensure code quality by adhering to best practices in test automation and software development.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA and development teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Proven experience with Selenium and/or Cypress for automated testing.

• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Python, Java, or a similar language.

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and QA processes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Proficiency in working with REST APIs and validating backend data.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on experience in QA automation with Selenium or Cypress.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is highly preferred.

• Prior experience with performance or security testing is a plus.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote working hours.

• Core collaboration hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM GMT (adjustable based on location/time zone).

• Must be available for occasional meetings with international teams.
