JOB PURPOSE

We are hiring an Energy Sales Engineer to support our Business Development team. This role acts as the technical expert throughout the sales process, helping customers understand how the R3Di® Virtual Utility® improves power reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. You’ll work with Business Development Managers, engineers, and customers to design system solutions, prepare proposals, and help close deals.

This position is based on-site at our Bonita Springs, FL headquarters and requires travel to customer locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support Business Development Managers as the technical lead during the sales process
  • Meet with customers to understand their energy and facility needs
  • Develop system layouts and proposals based on customer requirements
  • Explain the R3Di® System and its benefits in clear, simple terms
  • Prepare cost estimates, ROI calculations, and technical documents
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and operations teams to confirm design accuracy
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events
  • Follow all safety procedures and represent e2Companies professionally at customer sites
  • Maintain accurate records of site visits and follow all access and compliance requirements
  • Help train sales staff on technical details and system performance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE)
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience with natural gas generation, battery energy storage, or microgrids
  • Comfortable explaining technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Must comply with all site-specific safety, security, and training requirements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to travel up to 60–75% of the time
  • On-site presence required in Bonita Springs, FL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Understanding of energy markets, demand response, or utility programs
  • Prior experience supporting technical sales or proposals
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work may include site visits that require standing, walking, or climbing in industrial or outdoor environments
  • Must be able to safely navigate active construction and electrical environments with appropriate PPE (provided)
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required for equipment demonstrations or site activities
  • Must maintain compliance with all company safety policies and client site access requirements
