Why this role is exciting
You will be the strategic brain behind all US-based D2C e-commerce client campaigns, building roadmaps, analyzing performance, optimizing deliverability and turning data into actionable strategies that drive real results.
This is a behind-the-scenes role with minimal client-facing responsibilities but significant opportunity to shape the department, develop best practices and grow into leadership.
What You'll Do
- Build comprehensive email marketing roadmaps and customer journey maps aligned with client goals
- Conduct account audits to spot opportunities and develop improvement plans
- Create strategic briefs for campaigns and automation workflows (welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back flows, behavioral triggers)
- Develop opt-in strategies and list growth tactics including pop-ups, lead magnets, forms, and subscriber acquisition campaigns
- Design segmentation and personalization strategies based on what the data tells you
- Partner with Account Managers to interpret analytics and translate insights into recommendations
- Develop A/B testing strategies to continuously optimize performance
- Review and audit existing flow setups to ensure proper technical implementation and strategic alignment
Technical Excellence & Deliverability
- Monitor and optimize email deliverability across all accounts (98%+ inbox placement)
- Troubleshoot spam complaints, bounce rates, and sender reputation issues
- Stay on top of ISP policies, authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and deliverability trends
- Implement list hygiene and management best practices
- Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other regulations
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversions, revenue, ROI) and identify trends
- Create reports and presentations that turn complex data into clear, compelling stories
- Complete monthly strategic reviews and quarterly roadmap updates with actionable next steps
- Track KPIs and use them to inform strategic decisions
Department Building & Growth
- Help establish processes, frameworks, and best practices for our newly formed Strategy Department
- Opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the department expands
Team & Process Collaboration
- Partner with Account Managers, creative teams, and developers to execute your strategic vision
- Create templates, frameworks, and documentation to level up the whole team
- Identify ways to improve workflows and continuously optimize department processes
What We Are Looking For
- 3–5 years of email marketing strategy experience for D2C / e-commerce brands (agency or multi-client environment preferred)
- Fluent in English – excellent written and verbal communication is essential
- Proficiency with Klaviyo (critical) and other ESPs like Mailchimp, Active Campaign, HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Experience with FigJam / Figma for customer journey mapping
- Comfortable with ClickUp and Agency Analytics for project management and reporting
- Deep knowledge of deliverability, spam management, bounce handling, and email best practices
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
- Understanding of A/B testing and statistical significance
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple accounts
- Available for communication during CST business hours (9am-5pm CST / 3pm-11pm GMT) with reliable internet and professional home office setup
- Experience working with US-based brands or clients is a strong plus

- Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download speed)
- Professional home office setup with a quiet workspace for video calls
- Availability during CST business hours for team collaboration and internal meetings
- Self-discipline and strong communication skills for independent work while staying closely connected with the team
- Proactive communication style – we value over-communication in a remote environment
