Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all installation works are completed safely and in compliance with relevant site safety and environmental plans.
  • Coordinate installation activities regularly with all involved parties on site.
  • Support the HSE department in reviewing and implementing RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements).
  • Ensure plant and equipment used for installation are certified, in good condition, and operated by qualified personnel.
  • Conduct pre-work briefings, ensuring all personnel are informed of safety procedures and risks.
  • Report hazards, near misses, and safety observations to the HSE team.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and proper waste management practices on site.
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and consultants.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly progress meetings with contractors.
  • Conduct quality checks during installation, ensuring compliance with ITR inspections and ITP standards.
  • Verify all installation activities are performed using calibrated tools and according to the latest approved drawings.
  • Support contractors by providing technical assistance and guidance throughout installation.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation, including red-marked drawings and site master files.
  • Participate in inspections, testing, and mechanical completion activities with the customer and installation manager.
  • Contribute to lessons-learned documentation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Plan and coordinate site activities, milestones, and resource allocations with subcontractors.
  • Monitor critical path scheduling and develop strategies to mitigate risks and delays.
  • Report site progress, challenges, and material supply status to the project team.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Liaise with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure timely availability of equipment and materials.
Requirement/Must Have
  • Proven experience supervising installation activities in HVDC converter or switching stations (onshore/offshore).
  • Experience with transformers (converter and/or AC).
  • Knowledge of HV and LV cable pulling and termination.
  • Experience with HV main circuit equipment (breakers, reactors, resistors, arresters, CTs, etc.).
  • Experience with AC GIS and/or AIS installations.
  • Strong understanding of HSE standards and RAMS implementation.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation accurately.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills for stakeholder and contractor management.
Should Have
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide installation contractors.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to mitigate project risks.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and digital tools (e.g., BIM360).
  • Familiarity with quality control systems and inspection reporting.
