CACTUS is seeking an Editor to refine research manuscripts with subject-matter expertise, ensuring scientific accuracy and discipline-specific clarity for publication in prestigious journals.

You will improve language quality, adhere to journal guidelines, and help researchers worldwide communicate their findings effectively.

Qualificações

• A PhD degree in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory).
• 5–10 or more first-author publications (mandatory).
• Prior peer review experience.
• Ability to critically assess study design, statistics, and interpretation.
• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is preferred.

Responsabilidades

Job Responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content while preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
• Ensure that subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
• Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
• Edit manuscripts such that the final text meets the highest standards of academic writing, is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences. Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required.
