Helix Energy Solutions Group is seeking a Driller – Siem Helix to supervise onsite well operations and Main Deck activities under the Rig Superintendent. You will ensure safe, efficient execution in line with the approved program and company procedures.

You will work with the Deck crew, Tool Pusher, and clients, overseeing emergency procedures and daily safety meetings while maintaining critical records and logs.

Qualificações

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Driller or equivalent in well intervention projects.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate, when needed, with the Deck Supervisor on supervision of the deck crew and 3rd party/vendors.
  • Liaise with the Tool Pusher and On Shift Client Representative regarding changes to the approved well program and communicate these changes to all personnel.

Job Summary

The Driller is the onsite focal point for all well operations and Main Deck activities, under the overall control of the Rig Superintendent, and is responsible for Supervising onsite well operations activities, and for ensuring that the operation is completed safely & efficiently in accordance with the approved program and Company policies & procedures.

The Driller will be conversant with all statutory requirements relating to Well Control and Well Intervention, with all personnel directly or indirectly involved with well operations conforming to the instructions issued by them.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, when needed, the Deck Supervisor on his supervision of the deck crew and 3rd Party/vendors on deck
  • Liaise with the Tool Pusher and On Shift Client Representative regarding any changes to the approved well program and communicate these requested changes to all personnel working under their supervision.
  • As delegate of the Rig Superintendent/ Tool Pusher, secure the well in emergency situations and always be aware of environmental aspects.
  • Ensure that the Tool Pusher, Rig Superintendent and Client are advised of all current and/or changing conditions.
  • Under instruction from the Tool Pusher they will conduct Emergency Disconnection Drill to ensure that all personnel are familiar with these operations and record the results in the Operations Daily report.
  • First line is responsible for carrying out the well control and EDS procedures in situations of need emergency disconnect.
  • Under instruction from the Tool pusher usher and or Rig Superintendent they will conduct Well Control Drills.
  • Ensure that well control equipment is correctly maintained, installed and pressure tested.
  • Take direction from the Tool Pusher in all Well Control Operations.
  • Ensure that they have full understanding of the vessels Well Control Philosophy that includes the current HdB Policies on Well Control & Barriers.
  • Request written dispensation from the tool pusher for any operations that cannot be carried out under the Helix Well Control & Barrier Policies.
  • Conduct Pre-shift, TBT’s, TOFS, Daily drills, & weekly safety meetings with their crew. Ensure that Helix Health & Safety policies are communicated to and understood by all crew members.
  • Ensure that all Supervisors communicate through toolbox meetings, all operational safety aspects of the 12-hour shift.
  • In conjunction with the Tool pusher ensure vessel Well Operations Personnel are being trained to meet the company’s training matrix requirements.
  • Ensure that the appropriate logs and records are maintained throughout their shift.
  • As part of the Offshore Management Team, meet daily to discuss previous 24 hours and ongoing operations.
  • As part of the Offshore Management Team, meet as and when situations dictate, they are required.
  • Be responsible for the adherence to Helix and Client safety & PPE policies by all personnel working on deck.
  • Be responsible for the adherence to Helix & Statutory Lifting procedures and requirements by all personnel under his supervision.
  • Record all relevant operational information (including but not limited to tool string and subsea equipment data, dimensions, hanging weights, overpulls etc.). They will ensure that this data is readily available in the doghouse throughout the project as required and officially recorded in their daily operational log.
  • Be competent to operate the MPT and associated MPT systems. Directly supervise & record the opening and closing of the Intervention System and Subsea Tree.
  • Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that all parties under their supervision have clear and effective lines of communication as required, and will ensure that operations do not commence until this is in place and confirmed.
  • Ensure that operations are carried out in accordance with the latest instruction issued by the OMT with reference to the project documentation where required, and that all personnel under their supervision are clear as regards their role in the forward operation.
  • Complete appraisal for all members of their crew & ensure that it is given to the Tool Pusher or Rig superintendent prior to their departure at the end of each trip.
  • Instigate weekly DROPS inspections, ensuring actions are corrected, reported & logged in the DROPS register.
  • Assist the vessel Maintenance team & Chief Engineer to maintain vessel equipment.
  • Review and as required, perform all safety control duties as per rig´s specific HSE Case, Safety Case, HAZOP and JSAs.
  • Perform, respecting any applicable license limitation and under supervision, similar responsibilities Tool Pusher for training, qualification and temporary coverage purposes.
  • Perform, if required, the same duties as the Assistant Driller.

QHSE: Following and complying with all the company's health, safety and environment policies, objectives/ targets and procedures

Minimum Qualifications Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 experience effectively working as a Driller or equivalent in well intervention projects.
