About You

You have a true talent for paid search, blending strategy, creativity, and leadership. You have extensive knowledge of SEM standards and lead by example, demonstrating best practices and facilitating knowledge-sharing. You work closely with your team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth activations and client goal achievement.

PROFICIENCY EXPECTATIONS

We expect Directors to be experts in paid search activation strategy, understanding how it fits within the integrated media ecosystem. They oversee technical expertise, delivery excellence, and a team of paid search experts, supporting career growth plans and team member satisfaction.

  • Directors should be subject matter experts in paid search, ensuring teams adhere to best practices and promoting knowledge-sharing.
  • They lead paid search team members in daily account management, tactical creation, and implementation, tracking performance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Directors are accountable to Client Partners, delivering tactical plans that align with brand strategy and agreed KPIs.
  • They support client partners in managing client relationships related to paid search strategy, team, and performance.
  • Directors ensure effective collaboration and flawless execution of search campaign strategy and activation towards client goals.
  • They are the point of escalation for activation team members, understanding when to step in and coach on advanced strategy, optimizations, or next steps.
  • Directors oversee team resourcing, updating tracking to ensure accurate utilization numbers and full utilization towards targets.
  • They identify succession plans and cultivate talent development for upward mobility and planning for employee attrition.
  • Directors work with reps to identify new opportunities, drive channel-specific innovation, and ensure best practices are implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 8 years' paid search experience and 3 years in a client-facing marketing role.
  • Proven experience managing a team and demonstrating the ability to mentor and develop direct reports.
  • A deep understanding of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, with Apple Search Ads as an added bonus.
  • The ability to audit an account and present actionable insights to a client.
  • Experience speaking to growth strategy, SEO, CRO, analytics, and measurement with marketing managers and C-Level executives.
  • Experience acting as an escalation point for clients, evaluating team service levels, and proposing improvements.
