A multinational corporation is seeking a South America Director to define and execute the regional accounting and control strategy. This role involves managing financial operations across several countries, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and fostering talent development. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of leadership experience in finance, preferably in the manufacturing sector. Strong communication skills in English, Portuguese, and Spanish are essential. The position offers an office environment with occasional travel requirements.
The South America Director is responsible for defining and executing the regional accounting and control strategy, driving the team's performance, developing and implementing standardized, repeatable best practices for computing, reporting and executing timely and accurate financial information across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Accounting & Reporting.
This position will build and foster relationships with individuals across all businesses and corporate functions, collaborate with all areas of finance, be responsible for local country reporting, statutory and legal requirements in addition to US GAAP reporting requirements.
