The Opportunity

This position works out of our Diagnostic Division, we’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.

As a Digital Health Solutions Sales Executive (DHS SE) you will be responsible for driving business and revenue growth for our Digital Health solutions within your designated region/country across diagnostic business units. DHSE partners with the diagnostics sales team to implement growth strategies, drive additional avenues of value, while enhancing profitability.

What You’ll Do
  • Acquiring New Business: Understand customer needs and acquire new business in districts lacking a Diagnostics and/or AlinIQ presence.
  • Sales Quotas: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas while managing sales budgets.
  • Process Design: Capable of proposing new customer workflows which leverage digital health solutions to solve recognized customer problems/pain points.
  • Executive Engagement: Engage with C-suite executives on issues like laboratory efficiency and clinical excellence, population health, mergers, remote patient monitoring, and risk stratification.
  • Growth Opportunities: Identify growth opportunities through healthcare improvements focusing on digital health solutions and reagent sales.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and healthcare policies.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead complex contract negotiations and develop strategic account plans.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Enhance customer satisfaction by anticipating needs and improving account activities.
  • Market Share Growth: Drive market share growth through new business opportunities and elevate brand reputation.
  • Communication Skills: Coordinate resources in a matrixed environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality system requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree with 4+ years of sales experience in healthcare or related fields. Equivalent job experience is sufficient for this role.
  • Advanced English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading complex contract negotiations, proven sales experience in Healthcare or Medical IT, and familiarity with IT in clinical laboratories, hospitals, or healthcare.
