Position Overview

We are seeking a Level 2 (L2) Development Support Engineer

with solid Java and SQL experience to provide advanced technical support for critical trading and investment applications. This position bridges the gap between development and operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and agile incident resolution in a dynamic and demanding environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 2 support to trading and investment platforms, resolving complex incidents in production.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement definitive fixes, in partnership with development teams.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain support tools and scripts using Java and SQL.
  • Participate in incident management, post-mortems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (DevOps, QA, and business areas).
  • Ensure regulatory and security compliance in all support activities.
  • Document procedures, incidents, and solutions for knowledge sharing.
Requirements & Experience
  • Experience in application support or software development.
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring, multithreading, REST APIs).
  • Advanced SQL proficiency (query optimization, stored procedures, data analysis).
  • Experience with financial systems, preferably trading or investment systems.
  • Knowledge of Linux / Unix and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and ITIL practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
