Job summary

UNIFAMAZ (Centro Universitário Metropolitano da Amazônia) in Belém, Pará, Brazil, seeks a Designer to join the Communications Office (ASCOM) on-site. You will design graphical materials for social media, websites, and campaigns, applying our visual identity and editorial standards.

You will also lay out printed and digital documents, prepare files for print, manage the visual archive, edit short-form video with CapCut, and contribute to content strategy with a focus on clarity and consistency

Qualifications

• Completed higher education degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating practical graphic and editorial design work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and CorelDRAW.
• CapCut video editing knowledge is a plus.
• Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Design and adapt institutional graphic materials for social media, website, campaigns, following visual identity guidelines.
• Lay out printed and digital materials (booklets, guides, manuals, newsletters) with editorial design principles.
• Prepare files for print production with correct colour settings, bleeds, safety margins and crop marks.
• Organise and track the team's workflow and visual archive for control and deadlines.
• Edit short-form audiovisual content for social media using CapCut (desktop and mobile).
• Review and adapt institutional texts for graphic layouts ensuring clarity and consistency.
• Contribute to communication strategies and campaign planning.
• Support data analysis and insights for content production optimisation.

The role

The Designer sits within the Communications Office (ASCOM) and supports institutional communication demands, visual content production, and the strengthening of the institution's identity across multiple channels. The job poster is Jean Gomes, Art Director at ASCOM.

What you would do

• Design and adapt institutional graphic materials for social media, the website, corporate presentations, and institutional campaigns, following Unifamaz's visual identity guidelines.
• Lay out printed and digital materials such as booklets, guides, manuals, and newsletters, applying editorial design principles including visual hierarchy, typography, grids, and alignment.
• Prepare and close files for print production, ensuring correct colour settings, bleeds, safety margins, and crop marks.
• Organise and track the team's demand workflow and visual archive, ensuring control, traceability, and deadline compliance.
• Edit short-form audiovisual content for social media using tools such as CapCut (desktop and mobile).
• Review and adapt institutional texts for use in graphic layouts, ensuring clarity, grammatical correctness, and consistency.
• Contribute to communication strategies aimed at engaging internal and external audiences, participating in campaign and institutional action planning.
• Support data analysis and generate insights for ongoing optimisation of content production.

• Completed higher education degree in Graphic Design, Advertising and Propaganda, Social Communication, or a related field.
• An up-to-date portfolio demonstrating practical experience in graphic and editorial design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and CorelDRAW.
• Knowledge of video editing with CapCut (desktop and mobile) is considered a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong written communication skills, including text interpretation and proofreading.

Working arrangements

The role is fully on-site at Av. Visconde de Sousa Franco, 72, Belém, Pará. Working hours are 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
