Job summary

Blacksmith Agency, a US-focused web design partner, seeks a senior Design Systems Lead. You will own how client design systems are built, turning brands and references into tokens, variables, modes, and reusable components that a build pipeline can execute without questions.

This is a systems-first role across multiple brands, not single-page work. You’ll ship core component libraries and document the system for developers and automated pipelines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing for the web, with real design system work in your portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout, and variants.
• A portfolio where the work looks different from client to client but the rigor underneath is the same.
• Strong English and overlap with US business hours.
