Lead, Graphics & Multimedia Design
Work hours: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM IST (to ensure overlap with US counterparts).
Location: Fully remote; a home office with strong Wi‑Fi is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Oversee Creative Team: Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of designers and technical writers, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and professional growth.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary creative point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and translating them into effective design solutions.
- Creative Direction: Drive the creative vision for graphics and multimedia projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and brand guidelines.
- Project Management: Coordinate, lead, and kick off project solution efforts with management; manage and prioritize workflow for asset creation and delivery.
- Design Execution: Oversee and contribute to the creation of high‑quality visual assets, including downloadable PDFs, illustrations, executive presentations, and digital content for desktop and mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
- Multimedia Production: Lead video and animation projects, from concept through filming and editing, ensuring professional quality and alignment with project objectives.
- Branding & Campaigns: Guide the team in developing branding guidelines, communication graphics, campaign materials, and creative assets for events and organizational promotion.
- Process Improvement: Source and implement innovative solutions, refine creative processes, and establish best practices for executive requests and reporting.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, presenting ideas and design rationale clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all creative outputs meet technical constraints, platform requirements, and organizational standards.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain digital file and folder directories, ensuring efficient access and version control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Design, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience in graphics and multimedia design.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of design specialists.
- Expertise with industry‑standard design tools (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro; Sketch or similar).
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, including smart object function, layer organization, and advanced tool usage.
- Animation and prototyping experience (e.g., Adobe Edge, After Effects, or similar; ability to create simple GIFs and motion graphics).
- Video production skills, including filming (from mobile to professional equipment) and editing.
- Strong photography skills, with the ability to produce professional‑quality images.
- Social media savvy, especially regarding visual content strategy and execution.
- Experience designing for both desktop and mobile platforms (Android/iOS), with a strong understanding of technical constraints and user‑centered design.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to meet critical project deadlines.
- Experience with event design and support.
- Proficiency in creating tracking tools and functional spreadsheets (Excel or similar).
